FANSEA.APP SHUTDOWN
The end of an era
Over the past years, Fansea has grown into a community of people who share a deep appreciation for sports culture, meaningful stories, and the future of digital ownership. Your enthusiasm shaped every release and every step we took. The support, energy, and belief you brought to this project became the foundation of everything we are today.
What began with digital sports collectibles evolved into the core expertise that now defines us: creating high-quality 3D objects, crafting immersive virtual worlds, and building storytelling experiences for a digital era. The journey we shared with you pushed us forward, expanded our skills, and played a major role in our development as a team and as a company.
We continue to believe in the idea that inspired Fansea from the very beginning. Digital ownership will have its moment, and web3 will unfold its potential when the ecosystem is ready. The concept remains powerful and full of possibilities.
With this in mind, Fansea.app will be discontinued at the end of the year. Until then, everyone is invited to transfer their digital collectibles to a personal Metamask wallet.
Below, you will find the steps to help you complete the transfer and keep full ownership of your items moving forward.
Step 1: How to find your Fansea wallet address
- Log in to fansea.app using your existing credentials.
- Open your profile page by selecting your avatar image in the top-right corner.
- Under your name, you will see three items:• Verify Wallet
• Your Fansea wallet address (a number and letter string beginning with 0x, for example 0xbb…45c7…)
• Polygon Blockchain link - Copy your wallet address and save it somewhere secure on your computer or phone. This page will not be accessible after 2025.
- If you select the Polygon link, it will open your wallet on Polygonscan, where you can view all digital assets associated with it.
Step 2: How to test my Fansea wallet access
Confirm your password
- Make sure you have completed Step 1. Then select Verify Wallet on your profile page.
- The verification will begin by asking for your fansea.app password. Use the same one you entered during login.
- Next, you will be asked to confirm the 12 secret words linked to your wallet. These words were generated during your account creation and should be stored in a secure place.
- If the verification works, the label will turn green showing Wallet verified.
- If it does not work, carefully review your notes and try again. Watch for accidental uppercase letters or small typing mistakes.
- Once this step is complete, you can be confident that you have full access to your digital collectibles on the blockchain.
Step 3: How to import your Fansea wallet into Metamask
If you are using Metamask for the first time
- Download and install the Metamask browser extension from https://metamask.io/download
- After installation, open Metamask and select I have an existing wallet.
- Choose Import using Secret Recovery Phrase.
- Enter the same 12 secret words you saved during your fansea.app registration.
- Create a new password when prompted. This password lets you unlock Metamask on your device.
- Your 12 secret words remain the only way to restore your wallet, so keep them stored safely.
If you already use Metamask
To avoid conflicts with your existing wallet, set up a separate browser profile for the Fansea wallet.
Create a new browser profile.
• Google Chrome instructions: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/2364824 • Mozilla Firefox instructions: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-rename-firefox-profilesInstall Metamask in this new profile.
Follow the same steps listed for first time users to import your Fansea wallet using
your 12 secret words.
You can later send your collectibles to any other compatible wallet.
Step 4: How to view your Fansea collectibles inside Metamask
Once your Fansea wallet is imported into Metamask, you can connect it to other Dapps such as Opensea and trade your items. To make your collectibles visible inside the Metamask browser extension, a few extra steps are needed. Metamask automatically detects NFTs only on the Ethereum blockchain, while your collectibles are stored on Polygon.
Connect Metamask to the Polygon network
Open Metamask and select the network dropdown at the top of the extension.
Choose Add Network and follow the setup instructions for Polygon.
Add your Fansea NFTs manually
Go to the NFTs tab in Metamask.
Select Import NFT.
Enter the contract address of the Fansea collection and the token ID of the item you
want to add. You will find the links to Polygonscan and Opensea underneath your
collectible on the fansea.app. There are all the needed infos.
1. If the NFT belongs to your wallet, it will appear in the Metamask interface, even if there is no image of it.
2. Repeat this process for each item in your collection.
Use Polygonscan to see the complete list of assets in your wallet.
